Downloading and Installing a Ringtone

There are several types of ringtones:

• Monophonic - Plays a melody one note at a time, creating simple tones.

• Polyphonic - Adds harmonies to the sound by playing several notes simultaneously.

• Digital samples - Uses mp3 and wav files.

Downloading is fast and easy. The procedure is specific to each phone model. You select a tone, choose your cell phone make and model, and are presented with a special code. Type this code into your phone and press send. An SMS (Short Message Service) message is sent to you with your ringtone and it is usually installed with a two step process.
